About COVID Testing Laboratory
Under the guidance of Dr. J. M. Vyas, the Vice-Chancellor of NFSU, the University is not only involved in Forensic Science education and training, but it has a humanitarian facet also; it has come up with a dedicated COVID-19 testing Facility. COVID Testing Laboratory (CTL) of NFSU is the first non-medico institute to get ICMR approval for testing of COVID-19 in May 2020. This facility is also involved in consultancy services to test antiviral materials against the SARS CoV-2 virus as per International standards.

COVID-19 Testing
As per the Govt. of Gujarat's direction, The CTL tests the samples sent by the government for COVID-19 RT-PCR testing. The lab is capable of testing 150 samples a day.

Anti-Bacterial / Anti-Fungal Testing
The CTL also conducts anti-bacterial testing for many toxicological assays.
Anti-Viral Property Testing
The CTL is India's leading laboratory in testing the anti-viral properties of any disinfectants (liquid, solid, coatings etc.) or fabrics, plastics, metal surfaces against SARS-CoV-2 virus as per various International standards.
Custome Research Project
The CTL is ready to undertake any customized research proposal for any kind of anti-viral testing.
Genome Sequencing
Our lab is capable of genome sequencing with its ultra-modern next-generation sequencing platform Ion Torrent GeneStudio S5.
We provide Extraction to annotation services with excellent technical support in analysis and discovery.
